This’ll be quick. Office caught fire. Don’t wanna die in inferno––could be preview of afterlife. Bummer.

Trailheads Guy and Patrick hiked Hyde Farm Trail. Other guys are lazy bums—eating flapjacks, farting, watching TV. (As it turns out, they were.) Hiking heroes selfie time:

Oh, no!!! Fire spreading.

Gotta hurry. Getting hotter. Back to hike.

We saw old farm. Buildings stacked on stones. Weird. Stones?

Lousy farm. No animals. No farmer skeletons.

Just old crap.

No crops, either. Just grass, weeds—not big sellers at farmers market.

Trailheads go into woods. Beautiful.

Bravo nature. And us.

Fio keeps cool. Smart girl.

We cross creek.

Again and again.

No slipping. No falls. No ambulance. Good.

Flames approaching— should call fire department, but don’t wanna bother them. Gotta wrap this up.

Storm’s brewing on hike, so, we finish up.

We invite other Trailheads to lunch. They ghost us. Bastards.

Trailheads punt on barbecue, go to The Mad Italian.

They make terrific Philly Cheesteaks. Umm.

Fingers swollen from heat—must finish typing fast.

Guy loves his sandwich. Patrick devours his. Pigs.

Bellies full, true Trailheads punch out. Good day. Time to watch The World Cup. Maybe Guy will win the beautiful game.

Ouch!!! This fire’s hot. Gotta put self out, get an Arnold Palmer. OUCH THAT HURTS!

*About Our Barbecue Rating System
Trailheads do not claim to be food experts, epicureans, or sophisticated palates. We are hungry hikers who attack a selected barbecue venue and ravage our way through whatever smoked fare and fixings they're dishing out.
nj
Ounr reviews feature what we believe are the highlights of the menu we sampled. So our intent is not to trash talk the saintly folks who tend to smoldering smokers on hot, humid summer days. They are sacrificing themselves in the noble art of smoking meats and feeding the drooling masses. Many are independent entrepreneurs who are the backbone of this humming American economy.
Now that you know our standards, you may wonder why every barbecue place gets a four-ribs rating. The answer is easy: our group has acclaimed designers, and they think the ribs graphic looks cool.
Who are we to argue? Enjoy.
